Be Alert: Spam and Phishing Emails

This is an important warning regarding emails that some of you may have received in the past few days, supposedly from IBBY Canada President Patti McIntosh, which offers financial support to travel to the Congress. This is unfortunately a phishing attempt issued by a fraudulent source impersonating IBBY Canada. Please disregard this and any such email and do not reply, as the information shared is false and the objective of these scam attacks is to obtain banking and other personal information from you.
In case of doubt, please check the email address from which the email is sent. Legitimate communications about Congress are usually sent from congress2026@ibby-canada.org , info@ibby-canada.org, or president@ibby-canada.org. Should you have any further doubts about the authenticity of emails received from IBBY Canada about Congress, please email congress2026@ibby-canada.org.
